Google Chrome: Mais um passo
Ontem foi lançado o Google Chrome, o navegador da poderosa Google.
Agora a guerra dos navegadores, que já tem como principais destaques, Internet Explorer (tentando evoluir), Mozilla Firefox (crescendo no mercado), Opera (pouco mercado, mas com muita qualidade) e Safari (navegador muito bom da Apple, que entrou há pouco tempo no mundo Windows), ganha um concorrente de peso. Ou você acha que a empresa que tem tranquilamente o site mais visitado do planeta, sem contar seus outros produtos de sucesso, não pode transformar qualquer produto novo em sucesso? Mas será que é bom?
Já instalei, estou usando e, por enquanto, estou gostando muito. A interface, como já era de se esperar de um produto Google, é bem clean, bem definida, com experiência fácil e bonita.
Não tive dificuldades em nenhum site. A renderização é correta, a engine é rápida e o gasto de memória é o menor dos navegadores que já testei até agora.
Uma novidade é o fato de "isolar" as abas. A experiência é a mesma, mas caso aconteça algum problema, você não perderá tudo que fazia no navegador. Perderá apenas o que fazia naquela aba específica.
Também é muito legal a página "em branco" do navegador. Ela facilita a sua vida, usando estatísticas para tornar mais prático o seu acesso aos sites que mais visita (algo similar ao FastDial do Opera e do Firefox, mas com relevância estatística), além de um acesso rápido aos favoritos mais recentes.
Por ser novo, ainda não dispõe de extensões mirabolantes como o Firefox. Mas algo que é uma extensão bem famosa no navegador do projeto Mozilla já vem no Chrome - são elementos para desenvolvedores. Já vem também com algo similar (e muito bom) à extensão Firebug.
Enfim, é mais um passo da Google para "dominar o mundo". Acho que é momento importante nessa área. O próximo passo (maior ainda) deverá ser o sistema operacional Google.
Recomendo fazerem o teste no Chrome, até porque ainda está em fase beta, para que possamos discutir essa grande novidade.
